Having been in practice since 1973, Amaral is a talented attorney with over 47 years of experience in law practice. His areas of practice include divorce, business litigation, business transactions, commercial law, real estate, probate, wills, trusts, estate planning & guardianships, and health care law. Prior to joining May Oberfell Lorber, Amaral practiced law with the Hammerschmidt, Amaral & Jonas Law Firm. Additionally, Amaral is active with the American Bar Association, Indiana Bar Association, St. Joseph County Bar Association, and the American Health Lawyers Association. 

R. William Jonas Jr. has been practicing law since 1981. His areas of practice include bankruptcy, business litigation, banking/finance law, commercial law, estate planning, and personal injury. Prior to joining May Oberfell Lorber, Jonas practiced law with the Hammerschmidt, Amaral & Jonas Law Firm. Jonas has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer in bankruptcy and creditors rights annually from 2011-2021. Additionally, Jonas is heavily involved in his legal and professional communities. He regularly speaks on bankruptcy topics at continuing legal education events and is a class agent for the Indiana University Bloomington Maurer School of Law class of 1981. Jonas serves as a member of the Supreme Court committee overseeing the Judges and Lawyers Assistance Program (JLAP) Jonas is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association (former President), St. Joseph County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the American Bankruptcy Institute. 

May Oberfell Lorber Attorney Jon Rogers has also been added as a partner. Rogers has been with the firm since 2018. Rogers’ areas of practice include family and domestic, wills, trusts, estate, bankruptcy, litigation, juvenile and CHINS, appellate, mediation and arbitration.
