Born and raised in Mishawaka, Spence joined the firm in 1979. He counsels clients in the areas of domestic and family law, commercial litigation, mediation and personal injury and wrongful death cases. During his career, he’s served as President of the St. Joseph County and Indiana State Bar Associations. He sits on the Mishawaka Education Foundation, and received the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash Award from Governor O’Bannon in 2002.

  • Resolved and litigated numerous cases involving serious personal injuries or death from clients involved in automobile, motorcycle and truck accidents
  • Achieved a $4.65 million verdict for a wrongful death of a child involving a faulty medical device
  • Successfully obtained a settlement in a jury verdict against an airplane manufacturer in a wrongful termination of the designer/inventor
  • Successfully litigated and resolved a case involving two young children whose kidneys were damaged as a result of exposure to E. Coli in a fast food restaurant
